Character Word of the Month: Self-Control
Our character word for the month of October is Self-Control. This means to be in charge of yourself. Students often have difficulty remembering that they are in charge of themselves. We will be learning about ways they we can have more self-control. Lessons that will taught in October includes topics such as conflict resolution, anger management, and time management.

Red Ribbon Week
October 24-28
We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week the last week of October. This is a time to focus on the importance of living a drug and alcohol free life. Our dress up days are as follows:
Monday: The key to our "Dreams" is a drug free life. (Pajama Day)
Tuesday: Give drugs and alcohol the "Boot" (Western Day)
Wednesday: Have the "Power" to say no. (Superhero Day)
Thursday: We're too "Smart" to start. (Nerd Day)
Friday: Our "Character" Counts. We want to be drug free! (Book Character Day)
